Michael Ray Teaches How to Make His Own Signature Cocktails (VIDEO)

It's been an exciting year for country singer/songwriter Michael Ray. Last year saw the release of his second studio album, Amos, named after his late grandfather, and this year, he shared the second single from the record, "One That Got Away" — not to mention he got engaged to Carly Pearce.

"One That Got Away" is an upbeat song about a fling that you know isn't going to last. And in the music video, filmed in Miami, Ray meets a girl while on vacation, and they have a fun night, but ultimately, she is the "one that got away." In the chorus, Michael sings, "She might only be mine tonight/ But that's alright, that's okay/ She's gonna be one hell of a one that got away."

Since there is so much to celebrate, Ray showed us how to make a cocktail inspired by his new single "One That Got Away" - a whiskey sour. Find out how to make it below.

"The One That Got Away" Whiskey Sour

Ray says of this cocktail, "The whiskey sour and my song, 'One That Got Away,' they mix well because just like a whiskey sour, and the start of something where you go, 'I don't really know how long this is gonna last for but I'm gonna ride it out.' It starts great, get some whiskey, and this stuff can get a little sour. So, as you're going through the relationship and you're questioning, 'Hey, is this gonna be fun?' You only got one life, you only get around one time, so just ride it out, have fun with it, take a good sip till it gets sour, all the way to the bottom."

  • 1 ounce Lemon Juice
