Maren Morris is definitely up to something.
On Friday, the “Rich” singer shared nine cryptic and caption-less Instagram images that have fans speculating that new music is on the way. Could it be a new album?
Maren’s album, ‘Hero’ was released June 3, 2016, and after nearly two and a half years, fans are starving for new music.
In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Maren confirmed that she is eager to share a new album. Maren also shared that her song, “To Hell And Back,” which she has performed for live audiences, will be featured on the new record, but won’t be a single.
“It’s not a single, but it is on the record,” says Maren “It’s an older song of mine. I wrote it right after ‘Hero’ came out, so it just missed the cut. It’s a love song to my now husband [Ryan Hurd], but at the time we were just dating. It’s been in my back pocket for the last three years.”
Maren has performed “To Hell And Back” for fans during the acoustic breakdown of her show, and although we can't confirm what the cryptic Instagram posts indicate, we are hoping that it is a teaser that new music is on the way.
